The 1st Spahis Regiment organized the commemoration of the Battle of Uskub on September 29, in memory of the commitment of their elders in Macedonia in 1918.
The Uskub maneuver, today Skopje, is an attack by the Allied cavalry between 24 and 30 September 1918 in Macedonia, to cut the Bulgarian army in two, later leading Bulgaria to sign the armistice on September 29th.
This commemoration took place in the presence of Philippe Loiacono, recently named General Military Governor of Lyon
