The Minister for Solidarity and the Family, Aurore Berge, was in Chamonix (Haute-Savoie) on Tuesday 22 August. During her visit, she visited two facilities for vulnerable groups: one for young children and the other for the elderly.
The aim of the visit was to "remind people of the need to take care of the most vulnerable" during this period of extreme heat, when France and Haute-Savoie are currently experiencing a major heatwave.
It was also an opportunity to highlight the preventive measures taken by the various organisations involved, to thank the professionals working in the field and to send them a message of recognition from the French government.
