Persee, a 2,5-month-old Malinois, has joined the ranks of the 68th African Artillery Regiment.
He has already received his cap. (and goes with it, by the way)
Integrating a puppy into a regiment is an experiment. The military dog of the Army is usually bought between one and three years, that is to say as an adult.
Integrated within the cynotechnic element of detection, he will have to train without delay with his dog master to acquire the patent of tracking "initiation" and the certificate of "patrol" on the date of his first birthday.
The goal is to make him acquire the needs of his missions as soon as possible.
Its future missions: defense and security of sensitive facilities, combat support, human research, but also search for explosives or narcotics. He will be able to perform them both in theaters of outdoor operation and in the context of Operation Sentinelle.
This is the beginning of a long adventure for this "soldier dog" assigned to the 68th African Artillery Regiment .

Persée, un malinois de 2,5 mois vient de rejoindre les rangs du 68e Régiment d’Artillerie d’Afrique.
Il a déjà reçu son calot (et pars avec, du coup)
Intégrer un chiot à un régiment est une expérimentation.
Le chien militaire de l’armée de Terre est généralement acheté entre un et trois ans, c’est-à-dire à l’âge adulte.
Intégré au sein de l’élément cynotechnique de détection, il devra sans tarder s’entrainer avec son maitre de chien pour acquérir le brevet de pistage « initiation » et le brevet de « patrouille » à la date de son premier anniversaire.
L’objectif, étant de lui faire acquérir les besoins de ses missions le plus tôt possible.
Ses futures missions : défense et sécurité des installations sensibles, appui au combat, recherche humaine, mais aussi recherche d'explosifs ou de produits stupéfiants. Il pourra les effectuer tant sur les théâtres d’opération extérieure que dans le cadre de l’opération Sentinelle.
