In a meeting in Lyon, and in front of 15,000 people (presumed figure given by his party), Jean-Luc Melenchon estimated, among other things, that NATO was a useless organization causing tension and proposed that France get out of it.
He was also keen to dispel any misunderstandings about supposed complacency about Vladimir Putin.
The candidate wants to embody "a non-aligned France in the event of a global conflict" and fight against the rich who have become richer than ever during Emmanuel Macron's five-year term.
