Prisca THEVENOT, Secretary of State to the Minister for the Armed Forces and the Minister for Education and Youth, with responsibility for Youth and Universal National Service (SNU), was in Lyon on Thursday to meet associations, volunteers and young people carrying out a mission of general interest.
Community service missions are the commitment phase of the SNU. They enable young volunteers, who discovered the different forms of commitment during the SNU cohesion trip, to give their time to an association and commit themselves to helping others and the nation.

Arriving at the "Les petites cantines" association, the minister had lunch with the volunteers from the association Les petites cantines, a network of neighbourhood canteens where diners meet and enjoy sustainable, participatory meals at free prices.
