The traditional Festival of Lights begins this Thursday 7 December in Lyon, and will run until 10 December. The show kicks off in the Parc de la Tete d Or.

The cute family, created from scratch by artist Philippe Katerine, puts on a show during the Festival of Lights.
On the park's lawn, there are arms, feet, heads and whole Mister Roses (some of them blue, by the way).
These sculptures of different sizes, scattered and half-buried, speak to everyone.
The candy pink, the curves and the apparent simplicity are meant to plunge the spectator straight into the magic of children.
Singer, actor, director, cartoonist and visual artist, the artist is constantly exploring new ground. His offbeat humour gently shakes us up, and his amused-disillusioned view of the human condition brings us closer together.
