For several days, chiefs from Amazonia have been touring Europe as part of the "Objective Zero Deforestation" campaign, conducted in partnership with the Rainforest Association (AFV).
Watatakalu Yawalapiti is the leader of the indigenous women's association of the Xingu Indigenous Park, in the northeastern state of Mato Grosso, in the southern Amazon of Brazil. The Yawalapiti are one of the sixteen tribes belonging to the Xingu people.
Chief of the Kayapo people, Raoni Metuktire is an international figure in the struggle to preserve the Amazon rainforest and indigenous culture.
