Monseigneur Olivier de Germay

Après des études en classes préparatoires au Prytanée national militaire de La Flèche, Olivier de Germay intègre l’École spéciale militaire de Saint-Cyr à Coetquidan en 1981 d’ou il sort officier en 1983.
Servant dans les forces parachutistes, au 1er régiment de hussards parachutistes, il est déployé notamment au Tchad, en Centrafrique et en Irak.
À la Toussaint 1990, pendant une retraite dans un monastère, il découvre sa vocation et renonce à sa carrière militaire.
After studying in preparatory classes for the National Military Prytanee, Olivier de Germay joined the Special Military School of Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan in 1981 from where he graduated as an officer in 1983.
Serving in the parachute forces, with the 1st parachute hussar regiment, he was deployed in particular in Chad, the Central African Republic and Iraq.
On All Saints' Day 1990, during a retreat in a monastery, he discovered his vocation and gave up his military career.
